Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 2025

At Equanimity Counselling North East, we value the time and commitment involved in counselling. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled.

1. Session Bookings

  • All counselling sessions must be booked in advance through email or phone.

  • Payment is required in advance.

 

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: You may cancel or reschedule your session without charge. Any payment made will be carried forward or refunded.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: The full session fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.

  • Non-attendance (“no-shows”): Sessions missed without notice will be charged in full.

 

3. Refunds

  • Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 5–10 business days using the original method of payment.

  • Block bookings or prepaid sessions are refundable only for sessions not yet attended, subject to the cancellation terms above.

  • Refunds are not available for completed sessions.

 

4. Therapist Cancellations

  • If we need to cancel a session, we will offer an alternative appointment as soon as possible.

  • If rescheduling is not suitable, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled session.

 

5. Online and Remote Sessions

Refund terms apply equally to face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling sessions.

 

6. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that emergencies happen. At our discretion, we may waive cancellation charges in exceptional cases.
